Bill Hoehn, CEO of Hoehn Motors Carlsbad, is one of the oldest successful swimmers of the English Channel and a member of the Half Century Club. He also completed the 28.5-mile Manhattan Island Marathon Swim on July 3, 2004, and is a lifetime member of the Catalina Channel Swimming Federation and has completed the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.

Test your endurance in the 1-Mile Ocean Swim, sponsored by Hoehn Motors of Carlsbad.
The 1-mile course is buoy marked. It will go out 600 meters, turn south for 300 meters, then head back 600 meters to shore. If participants want to be timed they must wear their own swim cap so chip can be placed under cap. Race is timed by One Time Racing. Prizes will be awarded to Hoehn’s Heroes placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each division.
Race begins at Tamarack State Beach. Start time 8:10 a.m.

Packet pickup will be available at Road Runner Sports Carlsbad, 5617 Paseo Del Norte, the day before the event, Friday, June 8, from 3-8 p.m., and on event day, Saturday, June 9, at the Tamarack State Beach parking lot from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
